Paulette Moore, MS,LCPC

Mental Health Therapist, School Therapist/Advisor

Paulette boasts a decade of experience as a school therapist/advisor and holds an M.S. in counseling from Johns Hopkins. Her focus centers on guiding individuals through life’s challenging transitions, viewing these moments as opportunities for personal growth and expansion.

“From leaving the womb and seeing the world for the first time, to packing up and leaving our job and retiring, to our final transfer from life as we have always known it, to the unknown beyond, life is full of transitions.

All of these changes present obstacles as well as possibilities. Many people notice the difficulties in transitions, dreading the prospect of trying something new and unfamiliar, and experience anxiety, panic, and despair as a result.

Transitions has always seemed like opportunities to me; opportunities to extend my wings and expand my universe.

“As a therapist, it is my mission to assist clients in seeing the problems of the unknown as opportunities.”

“Let’s work together to use a shift as an opportunity to put our skills to the test, discover strengths we didn’t even realize we possessed, and move on knowing we can rekindle old passions and build new ones. Let’s make the future amazing together!” Paulette Moore

Before pursuing counseling and psychology, Darrius earned a bachelor’s degree in finance and economics. While he initially aimed to help others improve their financial health, he discovered a deeper fulfillment in supporting people’s emotional well-being through therapy. He views the therapeutic process as a collaborative partnership where clients and therapists work together to find solutions that lead to meaningful growth and healing.

In his supervisory role, Darrius is dedicated to shaping the next generation of counselors. He provides student interns with valuable insights, hands-on guidance, and a supportive environment where they can build the skills needed to excel in the mental health field.

Outside of his professional life, Darrius enjoys traveling, bowling, and engaging in outdoor activities. He is also deeply involved in community outreach, lending his time and expertise to initiatives that promote mental health awareness and support underserved populations.
